Hardship Walk Day 4

Greetings Everyone!!  I could not write yesterday...too much pain and thankfully the good Doctor Spencer and the Nurse Gambles came to the rescue!! (Dani wrote a day 3 blog for me.)  Although now in a wheelchair, today was still a much better day!  Thank you to Chris, Alicia, and Charles for hanging in there...love you very much!!  These 3 have been there beside me since day one and will be with me when we arrive in Sacramento!!  Today we had so many lovely people come join us!!  Thank you to each of you who spent part of your family day or traveled

Hardship Walk Daily Diary Day 2

I would be lying to say that the last half of the day was not tough...let's just say, open wounds and the feet do not look pretty.  Thankfully our support Daniel suggested moleskin. I could not walk another step tonight even if I tried.  And we thought it was supposed to be cooler....it was even hotter!  But we did it..we survived day two.

The first half of the walk was very successful.  We spoke to many business owners along the route.  We even had these two adorable children join us for a few blocks.

The Hardship Walk Day 1

Completed day one!  We started a little late and needed to park our vehicles in one lot, so the actually starting point was a few miles away.  Today we walked 16 miles.  Took us 6.5 hours as we needed to stop a couple times due to heat exhaustion.  I believe it was 104 degrees today.  But we did it!!  Ron, Amanda, Daniel, Kris, Charles, Alicia, and I started the walk.  John filmed the beginning of the walk.  Dani was our "gopher" since we could not drive..thank you Dani for the support!  Ron just had knee surgery...so he and Amanda c
