To All My Supporters: THANK YOU!!

One of the most wonderful things in life is to look around to find a sea of friendly faces surrounding you. And during the last eighteen months, that is virtually all I have seen. To be sure, there have been difficult times. Yet, your faith in me… your encouragement… your cheerleading kept me going. Looking into the face of the children, who deserve a brighter future; watching the expression of desperation and fear turn to a smile and a feeling of hope; knowing that I have been asked to make a difference – these were all the source of my inspiration.

My wonderful husband and son have been so very patient with me throughout the campaign. I love them so much, and want to thank them for being so incredibly supportive during this journey!

Yet, what drives me to continue is you… my fellow Californians. We live in a place we all love and care for so very deeply. And we want this wonderful state to be the best it possibly can for our children, and their children, and their children’s children. The legacy we leave is only as uplifting as the tools we leave behind. I want those tools to be in their hands so desperately – you have no idea.

While we did not win the seat… we won quite a lot. We created more awareness in the big political machines and the mainstream media that we will not remain silent as this state slips deeper and deeper into debt. Our voices are mounting… and they’d better be ready!

Nobody thought that this puny little group of a few thousand people living in thirteen separate areas would amount to anything at all. It was just a bunch of rabble-rousers that could be calmed with a couple thousand muskets. Well.. they were absolutely wrong! And that message is beginning to ring true today.

Evil prevails when good men do nothing – as the saying states. You, my wonderful supporters, have proven that we will not stand idly by and “do nothing” as this state becomes a graveyard for business, 48th in education, overrun by illegal immigration, suffers the highest unemployment in the nation, and big business controls the purse strings. The sleeping giant has begun to open its eyes to the reality of the desperate need to take this state back and place it into the hands of the people, once again.

I will not give up the fight! Anyone who knows me is clear that I am not one to back down when the rights of the people are threatened.

So please keep watching. Please keep pushing. Keep up the pressure and I promise you this… “I’ll be back!”
